Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of services provided by Highlight Lab (“we,” “us,” “our”). By purchasing a service, submitting footage, or accessing our website, you agree to these Terms.
We edit footage to create highlight reels, recruitment videos, creative reels, and similar content. We do not guarantee scholarships, recruitment, or exposure. We provide editing services only.
In Legal Terms
Highlight Lab provides creative postproduction services including but not limited to video editing, color correction, motion design, sound design, media enhancement, and AI-assisted tagging (“Services”). Services are limited to the creation of digital deliverables and do not include representation, consulting, guarantee of outcomes, or distribution to third parties unless expressly agreed upon in writing.
You book a future start date. Your turnaround begins when we receive all required media and forms, not on the day you make the purchase.
In Legal Terms
Service timelines commence only upon complete submission of User media, required forms, and any additional information requested by Highlight Lab. Booking a “start date” reserves editor availability but does not constitute the beginning of production if materials remain outstanding. Highlight Lab shall not be liable for delays caused by incomplete User submissions.
You must provide the footage, ensure you have the right to use it, and submit accurate information.

Users are responsible for: (a) providing complete, accurate, and lawful footage; (b) ensuring they hold rights to all submitted materials; (c) providing access to media via approved platforms; and (d) responding to communications in a timely manner. Highlight Lab assumes no liability for project delays or compromised results caused by User omissions or inaccurate information.
You must own or have permission to use the footage you send us. You are responsible for any copyright issues that arise from what you submit.
In Legal Terms
The User represents and warrants that they own or have secured all rights, consents, licenses, and clearances necessary for Highlight Lab to reproduce, edit, and transform submitted media. The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Highlight Lab from any claims, damages, liabilities, or legal actions arising out of unauthorized or unlawful use of third-party media.
We follow your instructions, but editing decisions, such as timing, pacing, color, graphics, are ultimately made by our editors unless your package explicitly includes full custom direction.

Unless otherwise stipulated in a specific service tier, Highlight Lab retains full creative discretion regarding pacing, sequencing, color treatment, sound design, and graphic elements. Highlight Lab shall not be required to implement edits that compromise quality standards, violate legal restrictions, or contradict the selected service specifications.
We use AI for tagging, noise reduction, upscaling, and clarity, not to fabricate plays or alter athletic performance.

Highlight Lab may utilize AI-assisted tools solely for organization, tagging, stabilization, enhancement, and similar non-destructive processes. Highlight Lab does not simulate or fabricate athletic performance and disclaims liability for third-party interpretations of AI-enhanced outputs.
Your package includes a set number of revisions. Extra revisions cost extra. Revisions cannot completely rebuild the edit unless specified in your package.

Each service tier includes a predetermined number of revision rounds as described at purchase. Revisions refer to reasonable adjustments within the scope of the delivered edit and do not constitute full restructuring, recutting, or content replacement unless expressly included. Additional revisions are billable at the current rates.
We may use your final video in our portfolio unless you opt out.
In Legal Terms
Unless revoked in writing, the User grants Highlight Lab a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display deliverables in marketing, promotional, website, and portfolio materials. Opt-out requests must be submitted in writing. Highlight Lab is not obligated to remove materials already published or circulated prior to the opt-out date.
We deliver your file digitally in standard formats. You should back up your final video because we only keep your project files temporarily.

Deliverables are provided digitally in standard formats (e.g., MP4, H.264). Highlight Lab stores project files for a minimum of 60 days after delivery unless otherwise stated. Highlight Lab is not responsible for loss of media after this retention period. Users are responsible for downloading and securely storing their final deliverables.
Once we begin work, refunds are not available. If you cancel before we start, you may be eligible for a partial refund.

Refund eligibility follows Highlight Lab’s Refund Policy. Refunds are generally not issued once editing has begun or once editor time has been allocated. Highlight Lab reserves the right to charge administrative or cancellation fees reflecting pre-production labor and reserved scheduling.
We do not tolerate abusive or disrespectful communication toward our team.

Highlight Lab may terminate services, refuse revisions, or revoke platform access if the User engages in harassment, abusive or defamatory communications, or conduct that disrupts service delivery. No refund shall be issued if services are terminated for misconduct.
Our responsibility is limited to the editing work you purchase. We are not liable for footage rights, delays caused by you, lost data, or platform outages.
In Legal Terms
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Highlight Lab’s liability is limited to the total amount paid for the specific service. Highlight Lab shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages including, but not limited to, loss of data, reputational harm, institutional action, copyright claims, or damages related to User-submitted media.
We cannot guarantee scholarships, recruitment, or how your content performs on social media.
In Legal Terms
Highlight Lab makes no guarantee regarding athletic recruitment, scholarship opportunities, viewer engagement, distribution performance, award recognition, or any competitive advancement. Deliverables are creative editorial services only and are not endorsements or evaluations of athletic ability.
If you create an account, you must keep your login details secure.
In Legal Terms
User accounts are personal and non-transferable. The User is responsible for maintaining confidentiality of login credentials and for all activity occurring under their account. Highlight Lab may modify or discontinue website features without liability.
We may stop a project if the footage is illegal or violates our policies.
In Legal Terms
Highlight Lab may suspend or terminate services if User-submitted media or behavior violates these Terms, applicable laws, or internal policies. Highlight Lab is not liable for incomplete services resulting from such termination. Refunds will follow the Refund Policy.
We may update these Terms. Continued use means you accept the changes.
In Legal Terms
Highlight Lab reserves the right to revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Users are responsible for reviewing updates regularly.
